Your Job

Working as a Design Engineer in Sustaining Engineering, you will be instrumental in continuously improving products, ensuring quality standards are met, and helping the company remain competitive and meet customer requirements. The position requires technical expertise in vacuum pumps and an understanding of production processes. It is important to have an eye for detail to identify potential issues early and develop effective solutions. The objective is to provide customers with reliable and high performance vacuum pumps while ensuring product line efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Participation in development projects for vacuum pumps and compressors in international and interdisciplinary development teams
  • Design, implementation and optimization of procurement- and production-optimized designs with 3D-CAD as well as preparation of required calculations
  • Support in the preparation of requirement specifications and technical specifications as well as risk assessments
  • Coordination of activities between the various plant departments and production plants
  • (Co)coordination of technical tests / documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable education and training
  • Several years of professional experience in design, development and mechanical engineering
  • Good knowledge of international regulations for the design and dimensioning of apparatus (Machinery Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive, ATEX)
  • Experienced handling of CAD, ERP, PDM systems
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent communication skills, creative, structured and analytical way of working
  • Fluent spoken and written English, any additional language would be a plus
