The Business Unit Europe Africa is one of TK Elevator's largest units, with its Regional Business Support Center in Dusseldorf, Germany. It coordinates activities across 20+ countries and a distributor network in Africa. The unit handles the sale, installation, servicing, and modernization of elevators, escalators, and moving walks. In select markets, the portfolio also includes home lifts and automatic doors servicing. In fiscal year 2022/2023, the Business Unit employed about 14,000 people and generated approximately 2.4 billion euros in sales. Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the Safety Transformation Program across regions.
- Identify and prioritize critical risks that could lead to serious injuries or fatalities.
- Serve as the main contact for market clusters regarding Serious Injury and Fatalities (SIF).
- Ensure insights from incidents are understood and applied.
- Assess the likelihood and potential impact of SIF events.
- Develop strategies to mitigate critical risks through safety controls and training.
- Collaborate with regional OSH managers to maintain consistency in OSH standards.
- Evaluate suppliers and contractors for OSH compliance.
- Promote continuous improvement through feedback from employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree in Safety, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in complex work environments, particularly with installation projects and subcontractor management.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and risk management frameworks.
- Proven skills in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Experience leading distributed teams with subcontractors.
- Experience working in a multinational, multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
