As Tax Manager at Envalior, you will manage the preparation and filing of key tax returns, tax accounting packages, ensuring compliance and accuracy. You will actively liaise with tax authorities, ensuring smooth and efficient communication. Additionally, you'll embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new methods to enhance our tax strategies and contribute to our values and mission.

You will make key contributions to Envalior:

• Tax compliance: Lead the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns (Körperschaftsteuererklärung), trade tax returns (Gewerbesteuererklärung), and other essential filings (e.g., E-Bilanz) for our German entities. Ensure accuracy and compliance while reviewing tax assessment notices (Bescheide) issued by tax authorities.
• Liaison with Tax Authorities: Serve as the primary contact for tax authorities, handling ad-hoc requests and questions, and providing necessary documentation during audits. Respond promptly and effectively to inquiries.
• Tax Reporting and Collaboration: Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reporting packages. Work closely with the finance team on tax provisions, deferred taxes, tax disclosures, tax account reconciliations, and other financial reporting tasks.
• Internal Tax Consultant: Be the go-to expert for all German tax-related questions from various departments, including finance, HR, and legal. Provide clear and actionable advice.
• Compliance and Reporting: Assist with Country-by-Country Reporting, Pillar 2, and transfer pricing compliance. Ensure all reporting requirements are met.
• Regulatory Monitoring: Stay ahead of changes to tax laws and regulations, particularly those affecting the company’s operations in Germany. Proactively assess and communicate potential impacts.
• Collaborative Insights: Work with team members and tax advisors to provide valuable tax insights on business initiatives. Lead and contribute to ad-hoc projects.
• Tax Control and Compliance: Maintain control over the tax position of various German legal entities. Ensure all tax compliance matters are managed effectively.

Requirements

• Education: Academic Master’s degree in Tax and/or Accounting, CPA preferred.
• Experience: 5 - 10 years of experience in tax management.
• Skills and Competencies:
