Job Scheduling SME – Infrastructure (f/m/d)

We are seeking a highly experienced Job Scheduling Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our infrastructure team on a FTC contract. The role focuses on operating and enhancing batch scheduling services using UC4 (Automic Workload Automation). Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) is advantageous. This position is crucial for automation consulting, incident resolution, and job orchestration across hybrid IT environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and optimize batch scheduling with UC4 (Automic Workload Automation)
  • Support scheduling with Redwood RunMyJobs (RMJ) (optional)
  • Analyze job failures and proactively reduce incident frequency
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support within staggered hours (07:00–18:00)
  • Advise teams on automation and job orchestration strategies
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, security, and audit requirements
  • Coordinate patching and administration of scheduling platforms

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with UC4 (Automic Workload Automation)
  • Strong skills in job configuration, dependencies, and workflow orchestration
  • Proficient in UC4 scripting and secure file transfer setup
  • Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows
  • Familiarity with SAP IS-U and other SAP modules
  • Fluent German is a plus, English is a must
