An established organization is seeking to fill a key, strategic role in its API management portfolio.

Operating on a global level, collaborating cross-functionally, and engaging in strategic decision-making to secure sustainable and competitive supply and product quality, the Senior Category Manager plays a pivotal role in a versatile mission.

IHRE AUFGABEN

  • Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for complex, global procurement categories, with a strong emphasis on accelerating time-to-market, adopting emerging technologies, ensuring sustainable long-term decisions, and driving competitiveness and efficiency.
  • Actively manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent supply for high-priority product lines, while continuously monitoring market dynamics to identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at innovating procurement processes, achieving cost optimization, and maintaining compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory standards.
  • Support strategic negotiations alongside senior procurement leadership to strengthen market positioning and drive value creation.
  • Provide insights through demand analysis and market research to ensure supply strategies are aligned with organizational needs.
  • Contribute expertise and fresh perspectives to cross-category initiatives and play a key role in successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects.

IHR PROFIL

  • Master’s degree or Diploma in a relevant field such as chemistry or business administration, with a strong understanding of pharmaceutical research and development processes.
  • Extensive experience in category management and leading international teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the global API market for pharmaceutical products, coupled with expertise in stakeholder and risk management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 15% of working time, and fluency in English.
