YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL

Are you passionate about innovation and electrification, with a strong background in engineering validation? Ready to take the next big step in an international R&D environment where your expertise drives the future of sustainable power systems? Then this is your opportunity!

We are currently seeking a forward-thinking and technically skilled DVP Battery Engineer to join our dynamic R&D department.

As a DVP Battery Engineer at ELU (Electrification Unit of Yanmar), you will be responsible for developing and executing design verification and validation plans for our battery and ePowertrain systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring that these systems meet all performance, safety, and reliability standards before they go into full-scale production. You will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and testing teams to identify potential issues, validate designs, and facilitate improvements. Your work will ensure Yanmar’s electrification solutions are robust, efficient, and ready to meet the demands of off-highway applications.

But before we tell you more about this opportunity, let us introduce ourselves!

ABOUT US

At Yanmar, we are committed to building a sustainable future. In April 2025, we launched the Electrification Unit (ELU) to lead the transformation of compact off-highway machinery through innovative zero-emission solutions. ELU focuses on developing a diverse portfolio of e-powertrain technologies, including batteries and eDrives, to electrify applications such as excavators, wheel loaders, and other industrial machinery.

Operating globally with teams in the Netherlands, Germany, and Japan, ELU leverages Yanmar's extensive resources and technical expertise to deliver efficient, reliable, and high-performance electrification solutions. Our work supports Yanmar’s broader Green Challenge 2050 initiative, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility and carbon reduction.

Joining ELU means becoming part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation and sustainability. Here, your contributions will have a real impact on the future of energy and the development of cleaner, more efficient machinery.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in DVP (battery pack, powertrain cell, BMS, battery integration into vehicle).

  • Experience in testing and validation of electrical wiring harnesses.

  • Strong knowledge of specifications in the field of wiring system development (e.g. ISO, DIN, LV, etc.).

  • Extensive experience with DVP, sign-off processes, and requirement creation.

  • Good working knowledge of electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supply, etc.).
