We are looking for a Cloud Engineer (f/m/d) #Cloud #Kubernetes #AWS #Terraform #Helm #Python to join our agile Scrum teams at our offices in Neuenstein (Hesse), Eschborn, Bad Hersfeld, Kassel, or remotely. As a Cloud Engineer in our Platform Engineering team, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the infrastructure that enables our product teams to innovate rapidly, securely, and at scale. Your responsibilities include managing shared cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platforms, and automation tools, fostering a culture of reliability, efficiency, and best practices. You will collaborate closely with engineers across teams to promote cloud adoption, infrastructure consistency, and cost-effective operations.

What can you expect with us?

  • Work on modern, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform (Terragrunt), and EKS
  • Design, build, and maintain infrastructure following best practices
  • Utilize GitOps tools like ArgoCD and Atlantis for automation and consistency
  • Automate provisioning and deployment processes for reliability and repeatability
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support rapid and quality delivery
  • Collaborate using GitHub for version control and teamwork
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance
  • Engage in continuous improvement and uphold high standards of clean code, automation, and documentation

What do you bring to the table?

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, including cost optimization skills
  • Deep knowledge of Terraform (preferably with Terragrunt) and Infrastructure as Code best practices
  • Strong practical experience with Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Atlantis
  • Proficiency with Helm, including chart management and templating
  • Solid understanding of GitHub for version control and collaboration
  • Excellent scripting or programming skills in Python
  • Ability to analyze and optimize cloud costs across multiple environments
  • A proactive approach to automation and reducing manual tasks
  • Focus on security, scalability, and cost-efficiency best practices
  • Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English; German is a plus
