Interim Finance Director

About the Role

A high-growth, PE-backed technology company is seeking an Interim Regional Finance Director to lead financial operations across Continental Europe. As the key business partner to the Regional GM and leadership team, you'll drive strategic decision-making, performance improvement, and scalable finance processes across a multi-country setup. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role reporting to the Group CFO, with dotted-line accountability to the Regional GM.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, control, and reporting across the Continental region
• Drive data-driven performance management and profitability improvements
• Develop and oversee local finance leaders in multiple countries (matrix structure)
• Act as a strategic partner to regional operations, sales, and commercial leads
• Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and robust internal controls
• Collaborate with Group Finance (Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Compliance)
• Support M&A integration, cost optimization, and process scalability

Requirements

• 10+ years of senior finance leadership in international, B2B, or PE-backed firms
• Proven experience managing cross-border teams in FP&A, controlling, and compliance
• Strong strategic and analytical mindset with digital finance system fluency
• Hands-on, results-driven, and comfortable operating in fast-scaling environments
• Fluent in German and English (additional European languages a plus)
