The Advanced Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic systems, immunochemistry, clinical chemistry, and automation systems. This position is part of the Field Service Team and will be remote in the Halle (Saale) area. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Field Service Team and report to the Regional Service Manager responsible for Customer Support. If you thrive in a supporting role and want to work to build a world-class Customer Service organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Install, maintain, and repair diagnostic systems, immunochemistry, clinical chemistry, and automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as MPG, MedGV, VDE, and Beckman Coulter quality regulations.
  • Provide brief instructions to laboratory users and answer technical questions from customers.
  • Organize and optimize personal spare parts inventory.
  • Complete all administrative tasks, such as recording customer service reports using Service Max, in a timely manner.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  • Completed training as a technician or comparable training in a natural science or technical field.
  • Strong technical knowledge in mechanics and electronics.
  • Excellent communication skills, with sound PC and German/English language proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel and a valid driving license (Class B).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

  • Technical service organization experience, ideally in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards concerning IVDs.
