As a (Senior) Accounts Receivable Accountant (m/f/x), you will bring your expertise to elevate our Finance team to the next level and establish a scalable financial function. You will take ownership of the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, optimize existing workflows, establish forward-looking standards, and support internationalization efforts in the USA, France, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, and Italy.
With your get-things-done mindset, you will tackle challenges and develop innovative solutions. A particular focus will be on the seamless integration of our CRM system into financial processes, the implementation of a new ERP system, and optimization in subsidiary ledgers, subscription management, and billing. You will act as an operational and strategic business partner for our internal stakeholders, particularly Sales, providing efficient and future-oriented solutions. Your Responsibilities
- Accounting: Ensure timely posting of all accounts receivable transactions and reconcile subsidiary and general ledgers.
- CRM Integration: Ensure seamless integration of the CRM system into financial processes for smooth data transfers and efficient workflows.
- Subscription Management: Manage and maintain contract data in the SaaS environment, including the accurate representation of subscription agreements.
- Billing: Ensure timely and complete invoicing of delivered services.
- Revenue Recognition: Recognize revenues in compliance with HGB and optionally IFRS/US-GAAP (including SOX), particularly for subscription contracts.
- Dunning: Independently manage dunning processes in close collaboration with Sales and other teams.
- Process Optimization: Develop existing processes and systems further, especially in the areas of billing, O2C, and CRM integration.
- ERP Implementation: Support the implementation of a new ERP system and optimize existing processes.
- Reporting: Create reports and analyses on accounts receivable topics for internal and external stakeholders.
Your Experience
- Qualification: Completed degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Accounting or a comparable qualification, ideally with specialization in Accounts Receivable, e.g., commercial training with further certification as a Certified Accountant or Tax Specialist.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in accounts receivable, in a SaaS environment, or as a Finance Business Partner for Sales.
- Project Knowledge: Experience in the implementation and optimization of ERP systems, as well as in subsidiary ledgers and subscription management.
- CRM Knowledge: Experience in integrating and optimizing CRM systems in financial processes (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Process Knowledge: Experience in standardizing and digitizing accounting processes and supporting supplier registration and RFP processes.
- IT Skills: Proficient with DATEV, SAP/Netsuite, Excel, and CRM systems.
- Legal Knowledge: Solid knowledge of HGB and tax law; additional knowledge of US-GAAP (including SOX) or IFRS is a plus.
- Languages: Fluent in German and English.
