Prokon is looking for a Project Coordinator (m/f/d) for Nature and Species Conservation to join our team in Mainz from 1st April 2025. Your future daily tasks:

1. Commissioning and coordinating all required ecological assessments related to species protection
2. Managing contractual agreements with landowners for compensation and offsetting measures
3. Reviewing expert reports for plausibility and ensuring internal quality standards
4. Supporting the approval processes (including environmental impact assessments) regarding nature and species protection until successful authorisation under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG)
5. Advising project developers and other team members on relevant topics
6. Coordinating compensation and offsetting measures through external service providers and approving the implementation of these measures

1. Ideally, you have qualifications and professional experience in handling nature conservation issues and working with external experts
2. You enjoy communication and working as part of a team
3. You have a strong ability to assert yourself and a high degree of independence in your work
4. You are eager to participate in training courses, seminars, and workshops to continuously develop yourself and Prokon
5. You are willing to oversee project areas on-site
6. You hold a Class B driving licence
