Duties

• Identifies and evaluates financial asset management controls, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documentation and procedures.
• Uses testing, analysis, and evaluation techniques, including advanced audit methods such as computer database analysis and statistical sampling.
• Performs unannounced cash counts and internal control reviews for all IMWRF activities.
• Documents all cash counts and reports the results to the DFMWR, division chiefs, and activity managers.
• Discusses significant findings with the supervisor before involving outside organizations.

• Meets all qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation, in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid personal and TMP driver's license.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience demonstrating knowledge of investigation and study techniques, including audit and accounting principles such as the double-entry accrual method.
• Experience with word-processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Leadership or teamwork experience, along with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Applicants meeting highly qualifying criteria in the assessment questionnaire will be prioritized, including experience in internal controls, financial statement analysis, POS systems like RecTrac and CYMS, Microsoft 365 applications, and specific years of experience in financial management, AOB preparation, and analytical roles.
