Airbus Defence and Space Cyber is looking for you to join our team! For the Solutions Development Team of Airbus Cyber Programmes, we are seeking a Cyber Security System Engineer (d/m/w).
The Cyber Division of Airbus Defence and Space is a European specialist in cyber security for defence and aerospace assets and systems. More than 450 cyber experts across France, Germany, the UK, and Spain develop products and solutions based on state-of-the-art, trusted technologies. Our mission is to design, develop, integrate, and deliver tailored cyber security products and solutions for defence, government, and institutional customers, providing operational support throughout the system lifecycle.
Your Location
Our Ottobrunn/Taufkirchen location is close to Munich, Bavaria. If you enjoy outdoor activities, the Alps and Lake Starnberg are nearby, offering various leisure options. Alternatively, you can work in Immenstaad/Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance or Bremen near the North Sea coast.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Define security requirements and concepts
- Support the System Architect in cybersecurity system/network design
- Assess and select security products
- Develop and adapt baseline configurations for security and hardening
- Conduct security vulnerability assessments
- Perform security threat and risk assessments, simulate attack scenarios, and recommend remediation
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in computer science or vocational training in IT (e.g., IT specialist, cybersecurity specialist)
- Knowledge of security products and communication protocols
- Ability to define system hardening and configuration baselines
- Experience with verification and validation procedures for secure architectures
- Knowledge of security concepts (Zero Trust, Secure by Default, Multilayer Security)
- Familiarity with system programming languages (PowerShell, Shell, Python)
- Excellent English communication skills; German and Spanish are a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Experience in aerospace or safety-related domains is advantageous
