Job Description:

  • Lead key business initiatives from a legal and governance perspective, including GDPR/DPO, Product/Security Law, Holdings Contract Register, TOP 25 contracts, frame agreements, and group-wide legal frameworks around EV and supplier contracts. Responsible for KYC audits and Insurance selection in conjunction with Finance.
  • Provide comprehensive Company Secretarial services, attend Board and Committee Meetings, ensure best practices in governance and documentation.
  • Manage legal risks, ensuring compliance with EU and international standards and statutory requirements.
  • Support the CEO in key business decisions and negotiations, balancing risk and commercial interests to enable business growth.
  • Collaborate with CEO, C-Suite, and Country Management to deliver high-quality legal and governance support.
  • Offer expert legal advice in a commercially appropriate manner, working with internal teams and external legal advisors.
  • Lead the compliance function, advising on ethics and compliance at senior levels, with knowledge of current and emerging legislation and standards.
  • Assist with refinancing and exit strategies with investors.
  • Manage external legal advisors, controlling legal service costs.
  • Maintain and defend Intellectual Property (IP) and IC standards.

What you bring

  • Proven track record as Legal Director and Company Secretary, with experience advising in demanding environments; PE experience is preferred.
  • Experience in contracts services/B2B and B2C industries is beneficial, especially within international, dynamic environments.
  • Hands-on experience with legal, governance, and regulatory issues.
  • Significant corporate governance experience, including as Company Secretary.
  • International experience and cultural awareness across European markets.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing legal functions to support business growth.
  • Ability to manage external legal resources cost-effectively.
