Web Developer - Shopify (f/m/d)

The Online Sales team is responsible for the growth and success of our digital presence, optimizing marketing channels across all regions. We’re looking for a talented and motivated Web Developer with strong Shopify experience to join our growing team.

You will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining e-commerce websites built on Shopify, ensuring exceptional user experiences and seamless functionality.

This role offers remote work options from Germany or the UK.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about scalable e-commerce solutions, knowledgeable about Shopify, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining Shopify themes and custom features
2. Building custom Shopify apps or modifying existing ones
3. Collaborating with designers and e-commerce managers to implement website functionality and design
4. Optimizing website performance, speed, and SEO
5. Integrating third-party tools and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, inventory systems)
6. Troubleshooting and debugging site issues
7. Staying updated on the latest Shopify features, trends, and best practices

Your profile:

1. At least 2 years of experience in web development
2. Proven experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus
3. Fluent in English, both written and spoken
4. Strong knowledge of Liquid (Shopify's templating language)
5. Experience with Shopify APIs and third-party app integrations
6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git
7. Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles
8. Basic knowledge of SEO best practices
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with headless commerce or JAMstack using Shopify
2. Knowledge of other e-commerce tools (Klaviyo, Yotpo, Google Suite)
3. UI/UX design skills or experience with Figma/Adobe XD
4. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
