Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Manager | Hamburg or Kassel | €90k - €130k total package or freelance / consultant arrangement

Amber Renewables is representing a leading IPP seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee renewable energy projects in Germany. This is ideally a permanent position based in Hamburg or Kassel, requiring frequent travel across project sites in Germany and occasionally in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction management of wind and solar projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Act as client-side representative, managing contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and QA/QC processes to minimise risk.
• Manage grid connection processes and technical project closeout.
• Provide reporting on progress, budgets, and risks.
• Support contract negotiations and due diligence on new opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, ideally within wind or solar in Germany.
• Knowledge of German grid regulations and permitting processes is a plus.
• Experience managing electrical interfaces (OEM/BOP/Grid) advantageous.
• Strong technical skills: MS Project, Primavera, SAP, AutoCAD.
