Position Summary: Strategic Adoption Managers (SAM) are responsible for owning and implementing transformation projects for large strategic accounts (businesses with annual revenues of $2.5BN and more) to help these customers achieve procurement savings at scale through Amazon Business. If you want to help shape the future of buying for business customers, this role could be for you! You will lead large-scale projects to analyze, define, and implement innovative solutions for our B2B customers. You will work closely with internal Amazon teams, including Sales, Product Management, Category Management, and Leadership, to relay customer needs and prioritize solutions for our largest clients. Strong project management skills are essential, including coordinating stakeholders, planning, organizing, and managing all project phases.

The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving on behalf of customers, has experience working with senior stakeholders (C-Level), and has a proven track record of exceeding program goals and revenue targets. Proficiency in German and at least one of French, Italian, or Spanish, in addition to English, is required. Possible locations include Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, and Luxembourg.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current purchasing processes and identify opportunities for Amazon Business solutions to improve experience, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  • Drive adoption of Amazon Business solutions by advising customers on best practices.
  • Define requirements and scope programs for utilizing Amazon Business solutions.
  • Oversee program execution, including personnel assignment, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and Amazon leadership.
  • Assess risks, anticipate challenges, and manage escalations.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Technical teams to develop automation solutions for customer needs.
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer and feature spend adoption.
  • Relay market needs to internal teams.
  • Engage with senior customer stakeholders from Director level to C-Level.

A Day in the Life:

A typical day involves team meetings, managing customer emails, strategizing, and coordinating expectations. Activities include consulting procurement leads, developing innovative solutions, establishing internal processes, collaborating with sales teams, and planning for upcoming quarters or the year.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years in B2B procurement, project management, or consulting
  • Fluent in English, German, and at least one of French, Italian, or Spanish (C1+ level)
  • Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (eProcurement)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to influence
  • Decisive with a focus on rapid implementation
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in large-scale technology deals and enterprise sales, especially in B2B or new business acquisition
