Software Engineer – C++, Electrical Engineering – Energy Transition

What the job involves?

My client is looking for a Software Engineer (C++) to join an innovative team driving the future of renewable energy. This role is ideal for a developer with expertise in C++ and Python, who is passionate about contributing to grid integration of decentralized renewable energy plants and the energy transition in Germany and beyond.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and scaling an optimization platform to support the German energy transition.
  • Working on advanced planning and organizational tools for German Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
  • Modeling power electronic equipment in load flow calculations (e.g., SSSC, TCSC).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong C++ and Python development skills.
  • Experience within the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with simulation software and tools.
  • At least B1-level German proficiency.
