Job Description Summary :

The Senior Account Executive is an enterprise software sales professional who sells a platform of software solutions to Global 1000 clients. This individual understands executive selling into large companies, possesses outstanding communication skills, and brings current relationships. Responsibilities include proactively prospecting and leading meetings with customers weekly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Sell a portfolio of infrastructure and application software that optimizes and modernizes enterprise systems.
  2. Work closely with Field Marketing to develop prospects and organize events.
  3. Lead sales campaigns with the extended team of Rocket sales engineers, marketing, and lab groups.
  4. Ensure best-in-class customer sales satisfaction and referenceability.
  5. Meet revenue targets and strategic objectives, including growing the sales pipeline and creating territory plans.
  6. Actively use Salesforce and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.
  7. Work with management to negotiate pricing and contact terms.
  8. Serve as a trusted advisor to customer business and IT leaders, shaping opportunities early in the sales cycle and advancing them into profitable revenue growth.
  9. Demonstrate knowledge in aligning the company's capabilities with business and IT priorities and positioning relative to competitors.
  10. Advocate for customer needs during the sales cycle and address delivery issues.
  11. Research and understand each customer's industry, business strategies, and challenges.

Required Qualifications :

  • 8 years of sales experience in solution software to Global 1000 clients.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations with impeccable honesty, integrity, and ethics.
  • Experience working in a sales culture that supports and rewards high achievers.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to view challenges from new perspectives.
  • Strong articulation skills, influence, planning, organization, and results delivery.
  • Drive to exceed expectations and work independently.
  • Business acumen and experience navigating large, complex customers with a portfolio of products.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Proven record as a top performer selling software solutions to senior executives, with quotas over $2M.
  • Proactive hunter mentality creating and qualifying new opportunities, meeting customers weekly in person.
  • Experience with complex multi-year subscription and perpetual license sales.
  • Network of trusted relationships within the designated region.

Education :

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.

Travel Requirements :

50% of time in the field attending tradeshows and meeting with customers/clients.

Information Security :

All individuals are responsible for information security, protecting company information and IT resources according to their roles.
