Job Description:

The Senior Communications Engineer position involves Bids & Proposals Development, Design Coordination and Development, and Field Coordination for Telecommunications Passive Information Systems projects. Responsibilities include performing site surveys, developing proposal narratives, cost estimates, creating site survey reports, and designing infrastructure. The candidate should have a fundamental understanding of active communication systems, including Unclass and Secure IT Network architecture, Alarmed Protected Distribution Systems, Security Systems, and Audio Visual Systems. The role requires leadership in tasks such as:

• Identifying and developing project requirements and documentation
• Explaining design requirements to junior engineers
• Developing technical narratives, scope coordination, and cost estimates
• Performing site surveys and writing reports
• Creating design plans, lists of materials, and test plans
• Ensuring quality assurance and control
• Coordinating installation and close-out documentation

Preferred qualifications include BICSI certification, experience with Autodesk products, and field experience. Candidate requirements include security clearance eligibility, relevant education and experience, and willingness to relocate. The role demands good communication, organization, and computer skills, with field installation experience a plus. Physical abilities required include extended computer use and manual dexterity.
