GITEC-IGIP is looking for a multi-lingual (English + French/German) Civil Engineer (f/m/d) preferably with at least 3 years of professional experience related to the supervision of road construction works. Based in Cologne, Germany with regular site visits to project countries.

GITEC-IGIP’s Health and Social Infrastructure (HSI) Department manages diverse international projects in the transport, health and education sectors. We have projects for example in rural infrastructure development, hospital rehabilitation and construction, and vocational training/university campus development.
To complement and strengthen our HSI team GITEC-IGIP is looking to fill a permanent full-time Civil Engineer position at its headquarters in Cologne, with regular visits to our overseas projects. As a member of the HSI team you will have exposure to a variety of projects of varied scale & complexity, tailored to meet your experience and preferences. The work in firsthand will be carried out from our headquarters in Germany, with visits to project sites. But, depending on your interest and preference, you will have the opportunity to work in our projects on short-term or long-term expert positions. Currently, we have an urgent need for a Resident Engineer for the Rural Development Programme Phase IV (RDP IV), Houaphan Sub-Project, in Lao P.D.R., which is envisaged from December 2025 to June 2026, tentatively. Your interest to take over this position as your first abroad assignment would be very much appreciated.
In this position, you will be responsible for technical expert input, project acquisition and technical and organisational coordination, including result monitoring. You will be involved in guidance and training of local or international staff. This will include:
