IT Business Analyst (M/W/D)

Your Mission as IT Business Analyst:

As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business and IT. You will align strategic and operational objectives, identify opportunities to enhance processes through technology, and support the development of both business capabilities and technology initiatives. Your responsibilities will include translating business needs into clear functional requirements, performing gap analyses between current (As-Is) and future (To-Be) states, and working closely with stakeholders and IT delivery teams to design, test, and deploy impactful, end-to-end solutions.

Business and IT Alignment:

• Support alignment of strategic and tactical business objectives with corresponding IT objectives, partnered with business stakeholders and enterprise IT colleagues.
• Support business risk management, regulatory compliance (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley), Information Security, and audit remediation activities.
• Identify opportunities for process advancement leveraging technology.
• Participate in ideation activities to create high-level process and technology roadmaps and contribute to business case creation.

Solution-driven:

• Participate in the creation of IT investment proposals with business and IT stakeholders.
• Map business objectives and capability needs to specific functions and processes.
• Conduct discovery activities and document user stories, requirements, and process flows.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, product demos, UAT coordination, and stakeholder communications.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements or user stories and secure stakeholder sign-off.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet defined goals.
• Support change management efforts, including training materials and user acceptance testing.

Business of IT:

• Maintain relevant data attributes of solutions in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
• Support utilization of IT-internal governance processes.

These skills set you apart:

• Experienced Business Analyst with at least 5 years of proven IT Waterfall/Agile IT project management experience.
• Hands-on experience with Field Service (e.g., Microsoft Field Service Cloud, IFS, OMD).
• Good understanding of business process analysis and Business Change Management.
• Experience working with Developers or Business SMEs.
• Good analytical and interpersonal skills to interact with various business process representatives.
• Process design documentation experience using flow charts.
• Ability to articulate business process requirements to a development team and vice versa.
• Sound knowledge of Project Management practices and principles.
• Good knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a business proficiency level.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and ideally based in Dreieich.

Additional preferred skills:

• Experience with Salesforce CRM, Service Cloud, D365 CRM & ERP, E-commerce, SAP.
• Knowledge of PLM, selection/configuration tools, CPQ, AR/VR, infrastructure, data analytics.
• Understanding of facility management and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in other European languages, especially German.
• Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Business Analysis.
• Master's Degree in IT.
