We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Testing and Production Systems at our Rangendingen location, in the Development Department.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architectures for automated testing and production systems.
• Define and implement interfaces between testing programs, control systems, IT systems such as databases, and machine controls/SPS.
• Develop control and visualization software for our in-house machines and systems, including commissioning.
• Modify existing automation systems (e.g., variant expansion).
• Select software and hardware components, as well as measurement and testing technology.
• Assist in planning and creating new system concepts.
• Create technical documentation and work instructions.
• Train employees and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Several years of experience programming high-level languages (e.g., C#, C++, Python) in industrial production.
• Knowledge of industrial communication and networking technologies (Profinet, Profisafe, Ethernet IP) and database integration.
• Experience with LabView, ideally TestStand.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal) or experience with data exchange with PLC-based controllers.
• Analytical thinking, structured working style, and sense of responsibility.
• Strong communication skills.
• Interest in IoT and Industry 4.0 topics.
• Teamwork and high initiative.
• Good English skills.
