About the Institute

The Institute of Biomedical Engineering conducts research at the intersection of medical wearables, artificial intelligence, and remote health monitoring. We are expanding into women’s health, focusing on wearable technology, algorithm design, machine learning data analysis, and personalized interventions. Our goal is to improve understanding of hormonal patterns and their interaction with sleep, nutrition, mood, and daily activities to enable personalized healthcare.

Candidate Profile

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in biomedical research, preferably involving human participants
  • Strong skills in processing sensor data with machine learning and AI
  • Interest in women’s health, hormone physiology, circadian rhythms, and wearable tech
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication skills in English; German proficiency is a plus
  • Experience in teaching and supervising students
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on biosignal analysis related to women’s health and hormonal cycles
  • Lead and mentor student researchers
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and scientists
  • Publish research findings and present at conferences
  • Secure external funding
  • Integrate research into teaching biomedical engineering courses
