Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Lead (f/m/d) to join our Global Mobility team in Dahlewitz (near Berlin), primarily supporting our Power Systems business.

The role will support the Head of Global Mobility and the wider Global Mobility team on all aspects of global tax and social security compliance relating to employees undertaking international assignments, relocating permanently from one country to another, or travelling on business.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage global tax and payroll compliance (including delivery of monthly pay and annual bonuses / LTIP) in relation to internationally mobile employees.
  • Work alongside the appointed tax service provider to ensure Rolls-Royce and our employees are tax compliant.
  • Manage payments of global tax return liabilities and collection of tax refunds due to Rolls-Royce.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to drive efficiencies and identify tax planning opportunities.
  • Seek opportunities to simplify and enhance existing processes and procedures.
  • Work closely with HR, Group tax and across the enterprise to ensure individuals are aware of Global Mobility policies.
  • Support implementation, communication, and coordination of policy changes.
  • Support the business and employees throughout their compliance journey, answering tax queries in line with our policies.
  • Proactively manage vendor costs and identify improvements through vendor relationships and use of technology. Evaluate overall vendor performance in line with KPI measurements.
  • Support with any queries from tax authorities in relation to our internationally mobile employees.

Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional tax qualification (i.e. German tax bar certification, tax inspector qualification etc.).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, in a professional services firm and/or in-house experience in a Global Mobility team.
  • Experience of global coordination of German led Global Mobility programme.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving experience working with standardised processes.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with confidential information.
