The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team player. You will be a lead developer responsible for developing new software products and enhancing existing ones with a focus on perception.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and improve algorithms for processing LIDAR (laser scanner) data.
2. Evaluate ideas and concepts to develop sustainable solutions in a team environment.
3. Ensure software reliability through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
4. Define requirements based on internal and customer needs.
5. Work according to agile planning processes and document software components sustainably.
6. Participate in research, customer projects, and new product development.

Qualifications

1. BS/MSc/Diploma/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
2. Over 5 years of solid programming experience in C++ (modular development, design patterns, performance optimization, real-time requirements, testing).
3. Ability to create high-quality, fast, and reusable source code.
4. Knowledge in data analysis, including tools, statistics, visualization, and prototyping.
5. Experience with software development on Linux-based systems.
6. Familiarity with software development tools, methods, and processes, especially automotive standards (desirable).
7. AI/ML knowledge (classical ML methods, neural networks, optimization for real-time systems) (desirable).
8. Basic knowledge of processing 2D/3D LIDAR point clouds (e.g., segmentation, ground detection, feature/object detection) and/or optimization algorithms (advantageous).
9. Proficiency in written and spoken German and/or English.
