Position Description

Join our team as a Strategic Packaging Expert, where your expertise in packaging design and industry trends will shape innovative solutions and support our global operations. Your tasks will include:

1. Strategic Packaging Design: Define future packaging requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry norms. Plan and schedule projects to meet these needs.
2. Operations Alignment: Manage and evolve our operations standard packaging materials list, collaborating with teams to support new product launches, sometimes with unique requirements.
3. Industry Expertise: Objectively assess relevant packaging industry options, collaborate with our Prototyping Team and stay ahead of market trends.
4. Sustainability Goals: Identify optimization projects. Develop and implement global plans to achieve packaging KPIs, such as percentage of recycled content, in order to adhere to the future regulatory environment.
5. Data Management: Defining what data needs to be collected by our systems for regulatory reporting.

Position Requirements

We are looking for a candidate that...

1. holds a University degree in Packaging Technology (or equivalent)
2. brings a minimum of 10 years experience in the industry of developing packaging solutions
3. is experienced in developing cardboard boxes, corrugated cardboard boxes, plastic bottles
4. has experience in defining and assessing suitability of shipment boxes (ideally also with dry ice)
5. brings knowledge of dangerous goods shipment requirements
6. knows how to set up data systems (SAP based) for tracking global information on packaging materials
