About this Position

2-year traineeship in Corporate Communications & Public Affairs (Volontariat). Over the course of the traineeship, you will get to know different areas of communications in a rotating approach (e.g., External Communications, Internal Communications, Digital Strategy & Experience, Corporate Branding & Communication Strategy, Public Affairs & Governmental Relations, Regional Steering).

What you´ll do

  • Gain insights into communication strategies and tools of a globally operating company and participate in a wide range of national and international projects, events, and activities.
  • Create and edit content such as articles, videos, podcasts, etc., for various external and internal media and publications like newsletters, press releases, Spotlight magazine, intranet, and social media channels.
  • Manage various projects and support the Corporate Communications & Public Affairs team in their daily work.
  • Participate in temporary assignments (“outstations”) based on your interests at external partners such as communications agencies or consultancies, and/or in other Henkel departments.
  • Work collaboratively with a motivated and experienced team, including fellow communication trainees.

What makes you a good fit

  • Completed studies in communications, journalism, or related fields in business or politics.
  • Practical experience in content management or creation, e.g., journalism or corporate communications, is advantageous.
  • Excellent English skills at a native speaker level; German skills are a plus.
  • Interest in professional journalistic work.
  • Good communication skills, inquisitive mindset, high adaptability, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
  • Creativity, initiative, energy, independence, and team spirit.
