You will be part of the electrical & control engineering team in Ahrensburg & Wunstorf executing new developments and customer-focused systems. You will participate in the design of industrial x-ray and compute tomography systems at Waygate Technologies. You will work with a cross-functional team to deliver new solutions and customer projects.

As an Automation & Control Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Developing controls (automation concepts) for standard systems and customized machines and systems
• Developing the PLC code during the design phase by using a digital twin in the early phase and prototypes in the final phase
• Supporting from the project phase through the order processing to commissioning
• Supporting the technical writers (User or Service Manuals, Assembly or Test Procedures, etc.)
• Taking care of execution and change management
• Supporting the project process and contributing to mandatory project reviews
• Supporting the life cycle team with upgrades and service requests

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have completed studies in electrical engineering / automation technology or a comparable course
• Have good knowledge of B&R Automation Studio (PLC programming and high-level languages)
• Have proven professional experience in the field of control development / automation
• Have knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing technology, especially Radiography equipment
• Be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and innovative
• Be able to speak fluent English and German and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
