Your Role

As aTestbed Manager (m/f/d), you will oversee and manage Heaten’s testing operations, ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our innovative products with industry standards. This role combines strategic planning, hands-on execution, and team leadership. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians to execute rigorous testing processes while collaborating closely with product development teams to provide actionable insights.

• Strategic Test Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to evaluate product performance, durability, and safety, aligning testing procedures with organizational goals and product specifications.
• Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop test engineers and technicians, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Test Execution and Oversight: Manage the scheduling and execution of tests, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and cross-functional teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance testing processes and methodologies by introducing innovative techniques and tools.
• Collaboration with R&D and Production: Work closely with internal teams to understand product specifications and provide actionable feedback.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all testing procedures meet industry standards and regulations while maintaining high quality and reliability.
• Budget and Resource Management: Develop and oversee the test bed budget, optimizing the use of equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve technical and logistical challenges, offering guidance and support to the testing team.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in testing or quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in test methodologies, data analysis, and quality assurance practices.
• Experience in simulation, calculation, structural mechanics, numerical methods, FEM, CFD, and materials science is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in using testing software and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
