Solution Architect - German Mission Network (m/w/d)

Start immediately, full or part-time, nationwide at one of our BWI locations.

The Shared Service Architecture area handles delivery-specific solution development and is responsible for the technical design of complex, cross-cutting, and holistic IT solutions within the service lines. The focus is on designing and conceptualizing secure, cost-effective IT solutions tailored to customer requirements, utilizing the capabilities of the delivery units. Our strength lies in our well-trained employees, who specialize in one or more technology topics and collaboratively shape and develop the IT infrastructure of our clients within virtual teams. The main activity centers on solution development for the German Mission Network project, providing highly automated, virtualized platforms for deploying mission-critical applications for the Bundeswehr.

  • Designing solution options for deploying portable data center components to operate an automated platform for Bundeswehr's mission-critical applications.
  • Conceptualizing backend architectures within different information domains to provide virtualized platforms in the form of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
  • Designing data exchange options between portable and stationary components within a comprehensive deployment scenario.
  • Conceptualizing portable data center components up to the virtualization layer.

Qualifications:

  • Completed degree with a focus on IT or comparable professional training.
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture as an enterprise, solution, or IT architect, or as a technical IT consultant.
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional infrastructure and cloud platforms, plus at least one of the following: IT security, identity & access management, data center architectures, virtualization platforms, legacy client/server structures.
  • Knowledge of the IT-Grundschutz compendium and experience in requirements engineering/management (e.g., IREB).
  • Proactive and communicative mindset with a strong solution orientation.
