Senior Associate – Private Credit - Private Equity

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Associate to join the Private Credit team of a leading investment firm in Munich. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, evaluating, structuring, and managing private credit investments. Successful candidates will work closely with private equity sponsors, investors, and senior leadership to support the firm’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the due diligence, underwriting, and execution of leveraged finance and private credit transactions.
• Analyze financial models, business plans, and market data to assess investment opportunities.
• Conduct industry research and market analysis to support investment decisions.
• Draft investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee.
• Monitor and manage portfolio investments, including regular performance reviews and risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with private equity sponsors, lenders, and advisors.
• Support senior team members in fundraising activities, investor relations, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in leveraged finance, private credit, investment banking, or a related area.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in German (fluent) and English, both written and verbal, is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of the European private equity and leveraged finance markets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
