- Identifies & leads Lean Management Initiatives with our Suppliers to enable sustainable improvements that lead to cost savings and/or avoidance.
- Leads continuous improvement programs of suppliers’ performance (and their second-tier suppliers) on their manufacturing processes, striving for “zero defects”.
- Supports the Supplier Selection Process and Supplier/Parts Qualification to Production.
- Supports the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for major impacting non-conformities in products and services at suppliers.
- Identifies existing and/or potential opportunities for improvements in quality and costs.
- Monitors supplier performance KPIs, analyzes manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints, FMEAs, and other data sources.
- Establishes initiatives at suppliers to ensure sufficient improvements are implemented.
- Works closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D to ensure continuous improvement of products, services, and processes to meet quality, cost, and regulatory requirements.
- Performs supplier manufacturing process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Provides technical supplier evaluations for supplier selection according to category and sourcing strategies.
- Provides technical guidance to internal teams and suppliers regarding manufacturing processes, methods, techniques, and capabilities.
- Demonstrates technical expertise on quality methods and manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- University degree, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, or Medical Engineering.
- Six Sigma certification at least Green Belt.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading supplier development programs.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in lean management and quality management.
- Proven experience in performing supplier audits.
- Good knowledge of risk analysis techniques (DFMEA, PFMEA).
- Proven methods in APQP and PPAP.
- Autonomy and ability to create and communicate clear strategies and plans.
- Strong decision-making skills in difficult situations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Negotiation skills.
