Senior Supplier Engineer

• Identifies & leads Lean Management Initiatives with our Suppliers to enable sustainable improvements that lead to cost savings and/or avoidance.
• Leads continuous improvement programs of suppliers’ performance (and their second-tier suppliers) on their manufacturing processes, striving for “zero defects”.
• Supports the Supplier Selection Process and Supplier/Parts Qualification to Production.
• Supports the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for major impacting non-conformities in products and services at suppliers.
• Identifies existing and/or potential opportunities for improvements in quality and costs.
• Monitors supplier performance KPIs, analyzes manufacturing processes, quality records, complaints, FMEAs, and other data sources.
• Establishes initiatives at suppliers to ensure sufficient improvements are implemented.
• Works closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D to ensure continuous improvement of products, services, and processes to meet quality, cost, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs supplier manufacturing process audits to identify improvement opportunities and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
• Provides technical supplier evaluations for supplier selection according to category and sourcing strategies.
• Provides technical guidance to internal teams and suppliers regarding manufacturing processes, methods, techniques, and capabilities.
• Demonstrates technical expertise on quality methods and manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

• University degree, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, or Medical Engineering.
• Six Sigma certification at least Green Belt.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in leading supplier development programs.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in lean management and quality management.
• Proven experience in performing supplier audits.
• Good knowledge of risk analysis techniques (DFMEA, PFMEA).
• Proven methods in APQP and PPAP.
• Autonomy and ability to create and communicate clear strategies and plans.
• Strong decision-making skills in difficult situations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Negotiation skills.
