For the “Industrial Engineering - Measurement and Automation” department, we are looking for a “Production Engineer (f/m/d)” at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.

Within HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH, the “Industrial Engineering - Measurement and Automation” department focuses on the automation and digitalization of production, production start-up planning, specification, planning and implementation of production systems and production lines, test benches, introduction of innovative manufacturing technologies, cooperation in the design of new products with the aim of efficient and cost-effective producibility.

Your Tasks

• Technical support for industrial engineering in the product start-up phase for complex optoelectronic assemblies and subsystems
• Technological collaboration in the development of new products and special equipment
• Specification and design of production equipment (measuring chambers, assembly and test stations, production lines, building infrastructure)
• Creating and introducing production and testing processes
• Collaboration in the definition, development, testing, qualification, release and introduction of new technologies, processes and methods in production to continuously increase quality and efficiency
• Analysis, optimization and automation of production / process sequences as well as product transfer to series production
• Support with technical and software-based problems in production (root cause analysis, problem solving, statistical error management)
• Programming activities, especially in the programming languages Python and AutoIt
• Definition of manufacturing design constraints in close cooperation with engineering and design for new products
• Development of assembly and testing concepts in close cooperation with tester construction, design, engineering and production

Your Profile

• Successfully completed engineering studies in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in product development, systems engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing technology or comparable
• Relevant experience in a production-related environment, in particular the production of electronic and optical assemblies desirable
• Sound knowledge and experience in programming, especially in Python and AutoIt
• Experience in the implementation of lean production methods
• Practical experience in assembly / a manufacturing area, ideally with a focus on optics / optoelectronics, as part of internships, project work or completed vocational training advantageous
• Very good MS Office and SAP knowledge (CAD knowledge desirable)
• Very good organizational and coordination skills
