HERE Technologies is looking for a Principal Technical Support Engineer - Technical Project Manager, responsible for the successful delivery, adoption, and ongoing engagement of HERE’s technology solutions to customers and ensuring these solutions continue to be successful over time. You’ll oversee day-to-day customer relationships as well as actively participate in retaining and growing those relationships.

The role will focus on key and strategic accounts in Automotive, utilizing HERE products and services.

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders and manage cross-functionally to drive complex, strategic, and large-scale customer engagements (large Automotive OEM) and ensure successful customer delivery (product launches, projects).
  2. Orchestrate deliveries throughout the engagement lifecycle through the definition and execution of release management and quality assurance activities, including error and release management.
  3. Address issues systematically, coordinating across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on criticality with a “single source of truth”, timely executive visibility and reporting, and incorporating lessons learned into actionable follow-up plans.
  4. Work on technical consulting assignments for / with the customer.
  5. Collaborate with sales to complete RFQs and translate customer needs into requirements, products, and solutions.
  6. Provide direct technical expertise for opportunities in one or multiple domains of knowledge.
  7. Act as the main technical customer interface, ensuring customer requirements are understood across internal divisions.
  8. Provide feedback to Sales, Product Marketing, and Product Management on current and future product requirements (acts as the voice of the Customer).
  9. Travel up to 25%, both domestic and international, to meet customers and suppliers as needed, including frequent client visits to our major OEM at the south of Germany.

Who are you?

This role requires a high level of expertise in proactive technical support and technical project management, leadership, and commercial awareness, along with most of the following:

  1. A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  2. 9+ years of relevant technical experience, including 2+ years in technical project management, technical customer support, technical consulting, or similar customer-facing roles.
  3. Hands-on experience in software development and troubleshooting issues reported by customers.
  4. Strong project management skills involving large cross-functional teams. PMI PMP certification (or equivalent) is a plus.
  5. Excellent consultative, advisory, organizational skills with an aptitude for proactive technical support and problem-solving.
  6. A strong sense of ownership of the customer account and ensuring a trusted partnership.
  7. Sound understanding of Automotive infotainment, ADAS, in-vehicle, and cloud solutions.
  8. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence outside of one’s managerial matrix, and a track record of solid stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  9. German language skills are a plus.
