Technology Insight Engineer – AI & Computational Algorithms

Contract: Rolling 12-Month Consultant Contract (Likely 3-5+ years)

This is a rolling 12-month Consultant contract based in Munich, Germany, working with a major Tech R&D company at the cutting edge of AI and computational innovation.

Join a major tech company's team as a Technology Insight Engineer, where you'll engage with top AI conferences, assess breakthroughs, and drive innovation in AI and computational technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay at the forefront of AI advancements by participating in leading international conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML) and engaging with industry experts.
• Conduct in-depth analysis on AI acceleration libraries, large-scale model training techniques, and algorithm optimization.
• Provide strategic insights and technical recommendations on emerging trends and their business impact.
• Collaborate with internal R&D teams to drive innovation in system design and AI-driven solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with leading academic institutions (e.g., ACM, IEEE) and AI researchers.
• Organize internal knowledge-sharing events, seminars, and workshops.
• Identify promising startups and SMEs in AI and computational algorithms for potential collaborations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in AI, computational algorithms, system optimization, and acceleration libraries.
• Proven track record of participating in NeurIPS, ICML, or similar top-tier AI conferences.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess technical breakthroughs and commercial potential.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken); additional languages like Mandarin or German are a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Germany and Europe for conferences and industry events.
• Industry experience in AI or computational technologies is highly preferred.
