Do you want to be part of the development of our new e-commerce platform with more than 28 stores and 29 web shops? Or contribute to some of our more than 60 other Java applications? Join our Java department, which consists of 50 backend developers.

JYSK is a frontrunner in online cross-channel e-commerce development. With our Unified Commerce initiative, JYSK has launched its biggest IT project ever, aiming to excel in cross-channel e-commerce. You will be part of JYSK’s IT department, comprising over 200 skilled colleagues, working on enhancing our high-load cross-channel e-commerce platform used in over 28 countries.

WHAT YOUR ROLE INVOLVES

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop various applications and collaborate with different business areas to specify and refine features and tasks.

You will work with modern technologies, frameworks, and platforms including:

• Spring Boot
• Kafka
• Kubernetes / Docker
• JDK 17

Our developers work closely with colleagues from other departments at our Aarhus location. The Java team manages a wide range of in-house applications, providing opportunities to work across different business areas and technologies.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Is passionate about IT and software development
• Is a skilled Java developer committed to continuous improvement
• Writes clean, flexible, and scalable code
• Has experience with Java web technologies
• Writes thorough tests and practices test-driven development
• Has experience with some of our frameworks and platforms
• Can lead and facilitate design discussions
• Possesses extensive knowledge of distributed systems and concurrency
