At telli, we are building AI voice agents that change the way large businesses communicate with their customers.Voice is the most natural way humans communicate, however high-quality voice interactions have historically struggled to scale; leading businesses to rely on clunky user interfaces and compromise on customer experience.

AI dramatically improves both quality and scalability. We believe businesses need a simple, tailored tool that helps them transform their customer acquisition processes. Finn and Philipp previously scaled the heat pump unit of energy unicorn Enpal. That hands-on experience gives us unique insight into the challenges and opportunities of phone-based customer processes, shaping telli’s product.

The opportunity is huge and the time to build is now! we were part of the Y Combinator Fall 2024 batch and raised a $3.6M seed from Cherry Ventures & YC.

about the role

We are looking for someone to join our small but powerful engineering team. Right now our engineering team consists of Paulus, Philipp, Błażej, and Seb. We believe that there is a lot of power in having a small but extremely ambitious engineering team that cares a lot about what they build. With AI, small teams can now build software that is used by millions of people without having to scale with headcount. Rather than building a giant engineering org, we believe that having a small team where each member gets an incredible amount of ownership is the way of the future. This work is very demanding, but in our experience, extremely rewarding.

what you will do

• work closely with our customers, understand their problems, and come up with killer product features

• build scalable backend infrastructure to handle thousands of AI phone calls a day

• experiment with AI technologies to build best-in-class voice agents for our customers

• own high stakes projects end-to-end

tech stack

Our tech stack includes TypeScript, React, TanStack, Node, Python, Postgres as well as Temporal.io and Pipecat. But more than familiarity with any specific technology, we value a customer-centric approach and ability to ship end-to-end features.
