Job Description
Mirantis is adding a Consulting Architect to our team. As part of the Services organization, you will use your extensive technical and consultative experience to define a vision to lead a client from their current state to strategic solutions that achieve measurable and meaningful outcomes for their business. You will work closely with the sales team to communicate Mirantis's vision, features, and value, and with the services team to ensure the delivery of these outcomes. Additionally, you will collaborate with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to understand and provide feedback on product offerings.
The Consulting Architect role requires technical thought leadership and offers opportunities for professional growth across various business and technology domains. You will be a key individual leader in the field and contribute to an organizational culture that values transparency, performance, development, creativity, collaboration, and trust.
Location: Western Europe / US, Remote
Responsibilities
- Work with the sales organization to demonstrate how Mirantis’ vision, products, and services can address client challenges.
- Discover and qualify business and technical fit between customer requirements and Mirantis solutions.
- Define and document customer business drivers, problem statements, and technical requirements.
- Present Mirantis solutions through dialogue, presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and RFQ/RFP responses.
- Participate in creating workshops, presentation materials, and service strategies.
- Develop strategic solution proposals and statements of work collaboratively with Sales, Product, and Services teams.
- Establish trusted relationships with clients and prospects, engaging with influencers and decision-makers from engineers to CxO levels.
- Advocate for client needs and serve as a conduit for customer feedback across Mirantis organizations.
- Own the delivery of services for strategic clients, acting as the technical leader to ensure customer success.
- Contribute to designing new product and service solutions based on customer interactions and observations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop service offerings that complement Mirantis products to solve real-world problems.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated thought leadership through client interactions, conference presentations, and similar activities.
- Industry and regulatory awareness, understanding external influences on client needs.
- Understanding of the competitive landscape in Mirantis’s industry.
- Practical knowledge of distributed systems, software development, application architecture, and DevOps philosophies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Open source software
- Cloud infrastructure including OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, public cloud services, and related technologies.
- Automation, DevOps, and CI/CD tooling
- OSS systems for monitoring, logging, and alerting
Five or more years in a client-facing role such as consultant, architect, or sales engineer.High School diploma or equivalent required; four-year college degree preferred.Experience working with senior IT and engineering leadership, including CIO and CTO offices.Proficiency with Linux, OpenStack, VMware, Kubernetes, and related infrastructure products.Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and demonstrations.Ability to work productively in a globally distributed team.Willingness to travel up to 50%.
