Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Strategic Procurement MFT Leader (m/w/d) for Environmental Control Systems in Avionics and Mission Lead Function at our Donauwörth site. Join our Strategic Procurement Department, specifically within “Avionics and Mission Systems” Procurement, to manage current and future projects.

Our Donauwörth facility, situated on the Danube River, develops helicopters from concept to airworthy product, with on-site testing facilities.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Implement procurement activities including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and supplier monitoring according to company requirements.
• Conduct negotiations and establish contracts with suppliers for Airbus Helicopters Group.
• Lead multifunctional teams internally and externally within your scope of equipment.
• Support and coordinate with other buyers involved in your MFT in Donauwörth and Marignane.
• Define and implement supplier strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support sales campaigns with suppliers.
• Develop and report on KPIs related to schedule, results, and performance.
• Define strategic goals for markets and suppliers, prioritize initiatives, and execute strategic roadmaps.
• Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers, including contract frameworks and top management meetings.

Desired skills and qualifications

• Degree in business administration, engineering, or comparable field.
• Extensive experience in procurement, contract, and project management.
• Proficiency with IT solutions such as SAP and Excel.
• Strong negotiation skills and confident communication across hierarchical levels in an international environment.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• International experience and team collaboration skills.
• Fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel for business.
