Are you passionate about audiovisual technologies and eager to advance your career in an international setting? Join our innovative User Centric Spaces & Places (UCSP) team and help us expand our global presence in the Benelux market.
As an AV Designer at macom – Part of Drees and Sommer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting audiovisual systems for various applications, such as corporate environments, event spaces, and entertainment venues.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Develop and design both standard and complex audiovisual systems, including video, audio, and control systems.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless system integration.
- Select appropriate AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing solutions, and control systems.
- Provide AV requirements (power/data/reinforced walls, etc.) to IT and main contractors.
- Check third-party deliverables before deployment (e.g., IT patching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, NAC), conduct site surveys, and produce reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design, or an equivalent qualification.
- 3+ years of experience in AV design, integration, or installation, along with project management experience.
- Expertise in AV design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Visio) and strong knowledge of control systems, audio, and video transport protocols.
- English is mandatory; French is appreciated, and German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
