Develop, monitor, and improve quality processes, methods, procedures, and relevant KPIs within the engineering department.
Coordinate and ensure consistency in the creation and maintenance of engineering processes, procedures, and standards, with a focus on defining engineering standards.
Define and monitor quality criteria for technical deliverables, design documents, checklists, and related materials.
Prepare interface documentation for managing engineering service providers (e.g., DOID, DO-DO agreements).
Plan and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the Design Organisation Handbook (DOH) and its Design Management System (including process, product, and supplier audits).
Support and participate in audits conducted by external authorities (e.g., aviation regulatory bodies).
Assist in root cause analysis of internal and external quality issues within engineering.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned processes.
Create and coordinate Supplier Quality Control Plans, including the management of alternatives.
Support supply chain quality activities, including audits of production suppliers.
Contribute to key milestones and development gates in aircraft programmes.
Support risk management activities.
Plan and deliver training on quality tools, methods, and procedures.
Assist with technical training within the engineering team.
Requirements
Strong understanding of quality principles.
Solid knowledge of quality-related aspects in aerospace engineering, particularly with regard to compliance with EASA Part 21j.
Preferably holds a degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or quality management (BA Eng/Sc).
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry or a related field.
Basic understanding of air frame certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods, and tools.
Experience in new aircraft development is a plus.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, especially for conducting audits.
German language skills are advantageous.
