Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Program Management, Aftermarket, the Global Product Line Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for managing the overall strategy of the product range to meet revenue and margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product range, new applications, deletions, supersessions, packaging, and cataloging.
- Support sales activities by providing product expertise and customer visits to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop business cases for range extensions, sales quotes, and new product launches.
- Coordinate with data management, engineering, purchasing, and logistics for new product introductions.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure process efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
- Review global competitive positioning with local sales and marketing teams.
- Develop pricing strategies in collaboration with the pricing manager and sales team.
- Work with marketing to ensure proper product positioning and communication.
- Train local sales and marketing teams on product features and benefits.
- Create product literature and launch materials, and deliver product presentations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree, MBA, or Engineering Degree; Project Management Certification is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of economics and deep knowledge of emission products.
- Proven experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
- Excellent presentation and analytical skills, with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and work under pressure.
- Strong networking skills within a matrix organization.
- Fluent in English and proficient in German.
