Support Engineer (GCP)

On behalf of one of our key partners, RED now has a new opportunity for a Support Engineer to join a project on Google Cloud.

The role is based in Germany, and requires someone to be based in Germany (Munich) on a hybrid working basis and fluent in English, German would be a plus.

Specific skills / experience required :

• 4+ years of experience with IaaS solutions (, Kubernetes, virtualization, hybrid cloud) and cloud storage platforms
• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, VPNs, VLANs, Routing, Load Balancing, etc.)
• Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving P1-level issues in multi-node environments
• Strong background in Linux, scripting (, Python, Bash), and systems administration
• Experience in Technical Support, IT Operations, or Incident Management
• Comfortable working directly with customers and internal engineering teams

Preferred :

• Familiarity with Google Cloud or other public cloud providers
• Experience with hosted services / SaaS and scripting languages (Python, Go, Perl, Java, etc.)
• SQL / data analysis skills and cloud-native troubleshooting experience
• Prior involvement in deployments and customer onboarding within public sector environments
• Experience in distributed production environments and automation
