Switchyard Control Engineer (M/F/D)

Responsibilities include:

1. Design of BCU-based substation control systems for high voltage direct current systems (HVDC).
2. Implementation and verification of control software using simulation tools and real-time test environments.
3. Preparation of design specifications, documentation, and effort estimations.
4. Clarification of technical requirements within project teams, with customers and suppliers.
5. Remote support during commissioning and service of HVDC systems.

Roles & Responsibilities include the above tasks.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of parameterisation of bay control units (BCUs), ideally SIPROTEC 5 devices with DIGSI and CFC.
• Experience with IEC61850 standard for substation control and data exchange.
• Knowledge of high voltage and substation technology, interlocking schemes, and automated control sequences.
• Understanding of secondary interfaces of high voltage components.
• German language skills are advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
