GlassFlow is a Berlin-based startup building the open-source data streaming infra for the next of developers and AI companies. The company was founded in 2023 in Berlin with a global ambition. The team is highly experienced, with a hands-on mentality and the curiosity to learn daily. We have raised a $4.8m Seed round from top US investors and angels like the GitHub CEO, ex-CTO of Aiven, and many more world-class operators. The founders are serial entrepreneurs with more y of experience in building and selling data products. Activities

Your Role

As our new backend engineer, you will play a key role in laying the technical foundations of GlassFlow.

In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for developing server-side applications to process events, building APIs, and integrating with external data systems. You will take end-to-end ownership of projects, ensuring the robustness and scalability of our infrastructure.

You will join a passionate and dedicated small team, solving challenging problems in data engineering and creating a product that developers will use worldwide.

Requirements

Must bring with you

• Experience (1 year plus) with developing in more than one programming (Go, Scala, Rust, or or other high-performance )

Previous experience that could be helpful:

• Experience with public or private clouds (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Experience with K8s, Docker, Docker Compose
• Experience developing on and using queue systems like Kafka, SQS, and RabbitMQ
• Worked in fast-growing environments or early-stage startups
• Openness to using AI tools in coding (e.g., Cursor) is considered a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly and make compromises in writing code when necessary

Team

We are about 10 people at GlassFlow. The tech team consists of 2 Backend Engineers, 1 Fronten Engineer, 1 Solution Engineer, 1 Product Designer, 1 Developer Advocate and our CTO.
