Industry : Renewable Energy – Utility-Scale Solar & Battery Storage

The Opportunity

An industry-leading IPP with a strong European footprint is seeking an experienced BESS & Solar Engineer to support the technical development and execution of ground-mounted solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Germany. This is a 100% remote role with occasional site visits, offering flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work on grid-connected, utility-scale clean energy projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conceptual and detailed design of large-scale ground-mounted PV and BESS projects.
  • Review and comment on third-party technical designs and yield assessments.
  • Technical evaluation of new project opportunities and feasibility studies.
  • Support equipment selection and develop engineering solutions aligned with project requirements.
  • Oversee the technical project lifecycle from early-stage development through to commissioning.
  • Collaborate closely with internal interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with national grid connection standards and manage communication with DNOs / TSOs.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Systems, or a similar field.
  • Several years of hands-on experience with medium- and low-voltage systems and renewable energy infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of grid connection requirements and regulatory frameworks in Germany.
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, PVCase, PVSyst, RatedPower, or similar.
  • Fluent in German (C2 level) and comfortable communicating in English.
  • Independent, structured, and proactive work style.
  • Willingness to travel for project meetings and site visits as needed.

What’s Offered

  • Remote-first work environment with flexible scheduling.
  • The chance to shape impactful clean energy projects from the ground up.
  • Flat hierarchies and a collaborative, forward-thinking team culture.
  • Long-term career stability with an open-ended contract.
  • Training and development opportunities (internal & external).
  • Strong values-driven culture with a focus on sustainability, integrity, and mutual support.
