The role
As a passionate, self-directed Technical Product Manager, you will deliver value by helping to digitalize processes for insurance companies and internal users. You will understand their pain points and how our products address these. You will define a clear vision based on the current environment and target state, collaborating with engineering to execute this vision.
Responsibilities:
Define the vision, concept, and roadmap for insurance APIs aligned with company goals
Futureproof the current API landscape, identifying opportunities for new APIs and enhancements
Develop understanding of the insurance API market and strategic positioning of Xempus products
Collaborate with insurance carriers, brokers, third-party ISVs, and internal teams to gather product requirements
Work with engineering and business teams to create scalable, secure, and developer-friendly APIs for seamless integration
Contribute to the overall product strategy as an active member of the product team
What we are looking for
5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on API products
Strong understanding of API design principles and experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, and OpenAPI
Knowledge of insurance processes such as policy issuance, underwriting, and premium calculations is highly preferred
Familiarity with insurance industry standards, e.g., BiPRO, is an advantage
Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks like GDPR is a plus
A track record of delivering value to customers
Creative problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and German
