Data Engineer Logistics fmdiv

Responsibilities:

1. Be a part of our team and create as well as operate automated pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and integration.
2. Work with different types of data sources, infrastructure, and existing building blocks.
3. Make data from source systems available for data analysis or business process automation, and implement data architecture conforming to defined (semantic) data models and data flow/pipelines.
4. Ensure defined/required data quality and make data quality transparent.
5. Collaborate with business stakeholders, domain experts, and data experts.
6. Work with IT teams, management, data architects, and scientists to define goals of data preparation.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Informatics.
2. Experience and Knowledge:
3. Advanced skills in software engineering and algorithms for data integration and preprocessing.
4. Understanding of different source and target (semantic) data models (e.g., schema, ontologies, aspect models for digital twins).
5. Knowledge of data management functions according to data management frameworks and processes.
6. IT affinity and understanding of logistics processes, reporting, and analytics.
7. Domain knowledge in data modeling and networking, with basic knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
8. Experience with visualization and analysis tools.
9. Knowledge in data access and transformation.
10. Understanding of data business and processes.
11. Ability to apply UX methods and build state-of-the-art user interfaces.
12. Ability to interpret technical results.
13. Personality and Working Practice: Ability to work with different interest groups and communicate clearly and purposefully.
14. Enthusiasm: IT affinity and understanding of logistics processes, reporting, and analytics.
15. Languages: Very good English skills; German skills are advantageous.
