(Senior) Tax Manager (f,m,d)

Job Purpose/Role

To support the growth of our Private Markets Product range and to further strengthen our Product tax capabilities, we are seeking a tax specialist with deep expertise in and passion for fund structuring-related tax matters. Mainly on our Luxembourg Alternative Investment Funds platform (and to some extent in other jurisdictions), we set up comingled / single investor products and tailor-made structures to meet client demand. Our Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) follow different strategies including Private Debt, Infrastructure and Private Equity. Alongside our dedicated Product tax colleagues your core responsibility will be the tax coverage of our Products during set-up and run phase and – to some extent - the tax transaction support for the investments of our Products.

You will join our experienced Private Markets Tax Team which covers the whole range of our Private Markets alternative assets from a Product, investment and compliance perspective. We offer an international and highly dynamic environment with the opportunity for you to participate in our exciting new developments of our Product offerings. The position can be based in Munich or Frankfurt.

What you will do

• Serve as subject matter expert on all tax-related matters during the structuring and set up phase of new Products investing into our different alternative strategies, in particular (Luxembourg) Alternative Investment Funds and Luxembourg securitization structures
• Review and draft the tax related parts of the Product documentation
• Oversee and coordinate tax advisors on Product set-up and investments as well as tax service providers regarding investor onboarding to our Products
• Prepare and negotiate tax side letters with investors
• Support on tax related client queries during client onboarding and in the run phase of the Products
• Provide tax transaction support for target investments of our Products
• Align tax topics relating to our Products with other stakeholders
• Monitor local/international tax law changes relevant for our Products
• Support design, implementation and maintenance of tax related processes in the context of our Products

What you bring

• Qualified tax advisor / lawyer with a degree above average
• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in corporate and international tax law, preferably with a focus on fund structuring related topics; considerably more experience for the Senior Manager role
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to deal with internal and external clients, work cross-functional and to prioritize tasks
• High level of initiative, commitment, comprehension, and team orientation
• Very good command of English and German
